Evolve, a staged performance, by The Red Door Project. Evolve explores the relationship between law enforcement and communities of color, and seeks to stimulate conversation, helping us to bridge a seemingly intractable divide. Post performance audience talk back with Director Kevin Jones and RPI Director Dr. Dexter Gordon. This performance presented by the Race & Pedagogy Institute in partnership with the Chism Fund for the Humanities and the Arts, Department of African American Studies, Tacoma Arts Live, the Tacoma Police Department, and the Red Door Project.
Evolve features monologues from Hands Up: 7 Playwrites, 7 Testaments, and Cop Out: Beyond Black, White and Blue, that explore the relationship between law enforcement and communities of color, and seeks to stimulate conversation, helping us to bridge a seemingly intractable divide.
